Our Story

Founded by young author Anusha Chakraborty, Kids Scholarship Fund (KSF) is a youth-led 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to expanding access to educational travel opportunities for students.

The inspiration for KSF grew from Anusha and her brother Arnav Chakraborty’s travels to 49 countries. Experiencing different cultures, languages, histories, and communities firsthand showed them how much learning can happen beyond the classroom.

Inspired by their travels, Anusha and Arnav began creating books that introduce young readers to countries and cultures around the world. Together, their five published travel books encourage children to explore the world, appreciate different cultures, and become curious about places beyond their own communities.

Through Kids Scholarship Fund, Anusha transformed that passion into a larger mission: helping make educational and cultural travel accessible to students who may not otherwise have these opportunities. KSF raises funds and builds community partnerships with the goal of providing scholarships that give students opportunities to travel, experience new cultures, and broaden their perspectives.

At KSF, we believe some of life's most meaningful lessons happen beyond the classroom—and every student deserves the opportunity to experience more of the world.
